Fixed Income (February)
- High yield markets were positive in the month but lagged higher quality areas. Uncertainty surrounding executive branch policy, including the potential impact of tariffs, weighed on investor sentiment and spreads moved higher.
- Rates generally moved lower in the month, a boon for fixed income assets. Easing inflation metrics (PCE) coupled with rising economic uncertainty were main drivers. Core bonds and longer duration assets performed best.
